Health Education Exhibition & Resource Centre
Interactive
This motion-sensing information display was custom-designed for FEHD to replace traditional hardware installations with a dynamic and engaging LED video wall. The goal was to present kitchen hygiene information in a more interactive and visually appealing way. At the exhibition venue, a large cartoon-style kitchen scene is displayed on the LED wall, creating an immersive environment for participants.
A designated movement area is set up in front of the LED video wall, allowing up to six participants to engage simultaneously. When a participant enters the interactive zoon, a cartoon avatar representing them appears on the screen. Using simple hand gestures, players can control their avatar to move around the kitchen and interact with various objects. By reaching out toward the information icon on the screen, they trigger pop-up hygiene tips and educational content related to kitchen cleanliness.
The information is displayed in a scrolling marquee format, moving upward to ensure visibility and continuity. This format allows participants to explore the kitchen freely while learning about best practices in food safety, cleanliness, and proper waste handling. The system uses motion detection to track each participant’s movements, making the experience intuitive and accessible for all age groups.
This innovative setup transforms passive information delivery into an engaging, multi-user experience. It encourages exploration, learning, and interaction, making hygiene education more memorable and impactful. The LED wall not only enhances visual appeal but also supports real-time responsiveness, creating a seamless and immersive educational tool for public exhibitions.
